I always knew I wanted to be a mother, but the housewife thing was always a bit irksome to me. Not anymore. While sure, there’s plenty of times when I want to be doing other things, I’m incredibly happy and proud to keep the home, and now raise a child. I know I can do other things as well, and I do. But for once in my life I think I’m finally learning to not rush myself or guilt myself over the things I’ve yet to finish. Feminism isn’t about not being a housewife. It’s about choice, and I like the choice I’ve made and if I choose to make more choices, then they are mine to make.
I am housewife.
I am mother.
I am feminist.
Because I am about choice.
